Total Program Cost is $15o0 which includes all instruction, art supplies, room, and meals.

You are responsible for travel costs to St. Andrew’s Retreat House in Union, WA.   For those of you flying into SeaTac airport, we will assist you in connecting with other participants to share an airport shuttle (approx cost $30-$40 each way per person).  Please see the FAQs page for more details.

To apply for a space in the program please send an email to Christine@AbbeyoftheArts.com which includes:

  • a brief introduction to yourself and background in soul care and/or the arts
  • your phone number (we require a brief phone conversation  with either Betsey or Christine prior to admittance to the program) and email address
  • the email addresses of two people who can speak to your ability to do intensive inner work in a supportive setting

Once you are accepted we require a $300 nonrefundable deposit and your responses to the questions below to hold your place in the program.

1. Describe your background and training in spiritual direction and/or counseling.

2. Describe your background in the arts (if any).

3. What is your spiritual tradition and/or faith community?

4. What are your primary spiritual practices?

5. What are your hopes and expectations for this program?

6. Is there anything else we should know? (other background, special needs, limitations, concerns, food allergies, etc.) We do have ADA accessible rooms available. Please indicate if you require on of these.

7. Are you willing to have your name, email address, and phone number on a contact list provided to the whole group?

8. The retreat center is about 1 hour and 45 minutes from the Sea-Tac airport. Would you like to be connected with other participants who will be flying into Seattle to coordinate taking the airport shuttle and traveling together to the intensive location?
